President Javier Milei kicks off a week of activities between the United States and Chile: he will formally inaugurate the 'Argentina Week 2026' event to be held in New York, and later participate in the presidential inauguration of his Chilean counterpart, José Antonio Kast.
This international tour will begin on Monday, March 9, with a speech by the Nation's President at Yeshiva University, the world's most important Jewish higher education institution, founded in 1886. Subsequently, he will conclude the day with a speech at The Algemeiner's Annual J100 Gala, a prominent charitable event in New York that recognizes the most influential figures in Jewish life and support for Israel.
On the other hand, on Tuesday he will hold a meeting with JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon and inaugurate Argentina Week 2026, the event that promotes economic and financial investment, with the aim of strengthening Argentina's ties with the main investment banks on Wall Street. The same day, Milei will travel to Santiago de Chile, along with his cabinet, where he is expected to arrive before midnight.
On Wednesday, March 11, he will attend the presidential inauguration ceremony of Kast, the recently elected head of state, in the Honor Hall of the National Congress in Valparaíso. The visit of the Argentine leader seeks to ratify the political consolidation with the new Chilean government; months before the inauguration, both leaders had agreed to work on a common agenda on security, migration, and economic reactivation.
On Thursday, March 12, Milei will already be on Argentine soil and possibly hold a series of meetings at Casa Rosada with his cabinet to delimit the actions his administration will carry out in the coming weeks. For Friday, the President's schedule includes his participation in the closing day of Expoagro 2026 (YPF Agro Edition), especially significant as it celebrates the 20th anniversary of the region's most important open-air agro-industrial exhibition.
